WOOD - GLASS - GOLD - BRASS
The inspiration for the collection came from the energetic and spiritual quality of the woodlands. The act of walking through the forest and contemplating the light hitting through the canopy of leaves fosters reflection about oneself and on the surrounding world. The forest environment is living in balance with the presence of men, carrying the ambiguous quality of being a man-made, yet a de-anthropised ecosystem – an osmotic borderland where the encounter and interaction of man with nature is possible and favoured.
In this respect, woodlands stand as chosen ground for a renewal of man‘s mystical and ancestral relationship with nature, and as such it must be respected and preserved for generations to come. The project is intended as a reminder of this sacred dimension of the relationship with the woodlands.
